Nottingham's Newest Comedy Experience Comes to the East Midlands Conference Centre

Nottingham is set to welcome a brand-new event this autumn as Nottingham Venues and BB49 Comedy join forces to launch BB49 Lunch & Laugh, a unique afternoon of food and comedy taking place on Sunday 25 October 2026 at the East Midlands Conference Centre.

Bringing together a quality Sunday lunch, award-winning comedians and a relaxed social atmosphere, the event offers something completely different for Nottingham's entertainment calendar. As the first event of its kind in the city, Lunch & Laugh combines the comfort of a traditional Sunday gathering with the energy of a live comedy club, all within one of the region's leading event venues.

Guests will enjoy a freshly prepared Sunday lunch before settling in for an afternoon of stand-up from a stellar comedy line-up featuring Alun Cochrane, Scott Bennett and Suzi Ruffell. With each comedian bringing their own distinctive style and nationally recognised credentials, audiences can expect an afternoon packed with laughs from start to finish.

The partnership between Nottingham Venues and BB49 Comedy reflects a shared ambition to create memorable experiences that bring people together. Known for delivering high-quality affordable events, BB49 Comedy has built a reputation for attracting some of the UK's most respected comedians, while Nottingham Venues is renowned for hosting exceptional events within inspiring spaces across the University of Nottingham campus.

At just £40 per person, tickets include a Sunday lunch, the full comedy programme and complimentary parking, offering exceptional value for a complete afternoon of entertainment.

Stephanie Moss-Pearce, Director of Marketing at Nottingham Venues, said:

"We are incredibly excited to partner with BB49 Comedy to bring Lunch & Laugh to Nottingham. This is a completely new concept for the city, combining great food, exceptional comedy and a fantastic social atmosphere all under one roof. Whether you're planning a get-together with friends, a family celebration or simply looking for a different way to spend a Sunday afternoon, Lunch & Laugh promises to be an unforgettable experience."

With demand expected to be high, early booking is recommended. Tickets are available now, giving Nottingham comedy fans the opportunity to be among the first to experience what promises to become a standout addition to the city's events programme.
