Welcome to The Refectory
The Refectory at Southwell has been an established family business for over 20 years. Originally founded by Jane & Geoff Griffin in 1989, when The Refectory was situated under The Great Hall, little did they expect their small tea room to bloom into what it is today.
In 1996, when the current building was purpose built for the Refectory & Bookshop, Dwight their son and qualified chef, joined the business and helped to push things forwards. Now, several years later, Dwight and his wife Katie have taken over the running of the business.
The Refectory occupies a fantastic location inside Southwell Minster grounds, with magnificent views that can be enjoyed on their patio area. An ideal spot to enjoy one of their scrumptious cakes and a pot of tea!
The Refectory's ethos is to serve seasonal, good quality, locally sourced food where possible. From light bites to daily specials, fresh bean to cup coffee to their carefully selected wine menu. They hope you will find something to suit! They also have a selection of Vegetarian and Gluten Free options available daily.
The Refectory is available to hire in the evenings for events and also specialises in Outside Catering to suit all occasions. Please contact them for more details on the tailored services they can offer.Tuesday - Saturday (10am - 3pm)
