Lavender Cottage is a recently refurbished holiday cottage located in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. This two bedroom detached cottage (dating from c.1798) backs onto parkland, has a courtyard location with space outside to dine alfresco and there are lots of beautiful countryside walks right on the doorstep.
Situated in the middle of the UK Southwell is a characterful and picturesque traditional market town is often referred to as "The jewel in Nottinghamshire’s crown”. Southwell’s location makes it a really convenient place to stay when en route to another destination as well as for short breaks whilst exploring Nottinghamshire, Newark and Lincoln.
Lavender Cottage is a short walk through the tree lined park to the centre of town, making it ideal for walkers and cyclists alike; the many shops, restaurants, cosy cafes, friendly pubs and garden centres are all within walking distance. Learn more of the Bramley Apple story, Lord Byron, King Charles I and follow the heritage walks through the town to discover the Workhouse, owned by the National Trust or back a winner at Southwell Racecourse!
