Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle | Visit Nottinghamshire

About

Welcome to the Engine Yard, nestling in the heart of the stunning Vale of Belvoir.

Carefully restored from Victorian buildings and surrounded by woodland, the Engine Yard is the first retail village of its kind in the local area. Originally constructed in 1850, the Engine Yard has a wealth of history. It’s hard to believe that the hub of the estate once included a saw mill, wagon making shop and wheelwright’s shop. Today it’s home to a distinctive selection of shops and experiences right next to Belvoir Castle.

Just a 10-minute drive from the A52, 15 minutes from both Grantham and Melton Mowbray, 40 minutes from Nottingham and very close to the A1 if you’re travelling up from the South.

You’ll have plenty of opportunity to discover what’s so special about the Engine Yard. Don’t miss out on the Duchess’s Gallery. This is where you’ll discover a fabulous collection curated by the Duchess of Rutland herself. In line with the whole ethos of the Engine Yard, enjoy browsing the best of British gifts, garments and accessories from established and upcoming designers.

You can look forward to regular events, demonstrations and talks, from Countryside Corner debates to farmers’ markets every month.
