Japan Fest Mansfield returns bringing a vibrant celebration of Japanese culture, music, and creativity to the heart of Mansfield. Taking place at Mansfield Rugby Club from 11am to 5pm, the festival invites visitors of all ages to experience both traditional and contemporary aspects of Japan in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.


Live Stage Performances

Japan Fest Mansfield 2026 will feature a diverse lineup of performers celebrating Japan's rich musical and cultural heritage:

  • Jero11 – A dynamic shamisen player, blending traditional Japanese string music with modern energy and captivating stage presence.
  • Black Tsubaki – A polished J-pop performance, combining vocals, choreography, and contemporary Japanese pop culture.
  • Aki Kitagawa – A graceful koto performance, showcasing the elegance and emotional depth of classical Japanese music.
  • J-FX – An anime rapper delivering high-energy performances inspired by anime, gaming, and Japanese pop culture.
  • DJ Manimal & Cerisina – An anime and J-pop DJ set featuring themed mixes and crowd favourites throughout the day.
  • Hisako – A lively Awa Odori dance performance, bringing the joyful movements and rhythms of this traditional Japanese festival dance to life.

Cultural Activities:

Alongside the stage programme, Japan Fest Mansfield 2026 offers a wide range of interactive activities designed to educate, inspire, and entertain:

  • Kimono Wearing – Try on traditional Japanese attire and learn about its history, symbolism, and cultural significance.
  • Shogi – Discover Japan's version of chess and challenge your strategic thinking with guided play.
  • Origami – Learn the traditional art of paper folding and create beautiful designs to take home.
  • Tea Tasting – Experience the flavours and rituals of Japanese tea in a calm and welcoming setting.
  • Japanese Basic Language – Pick up simple Japanese words and phrases in an accessible, beginner-friendly introduction.
  • Fox Mask Painting – Get creative by decorating your own kitsune mask inspired by Japanese folklore and festivals.

Japanese Street Food

A dedicated street food area will feature popular Japanese dishes from Oishi, serving Takoyaki, yakisoba, gyoza, and bubble tea, alongside Food of Japan, offering Japanese curry, onigiri, and traditional snacks.
