Paul Higgs presents A Brief History of Jazz

Ace trumpeter Paul Higgs plays with a sublime tone and breathtaking technique. He has performed with Johnny Dankworth, Lulu, Tony Hatch, John Williams, Peggy Lee and  Nancy Wilson. He has also performed in major concert venues around the world, and receives standing ovations on a regular basis.

Paul Higgs takes you on a delightful musical tour of the history of jazz, playing hits by the legendary greats – Bix Beiderbecke, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Chet Baker, and Miles Davis, amongst others. Taking you through the styles of New Orleans, swing and bebop, through cool jazz, modal and Latin right up to contemporary jazz, Paul and his band give a lively and versatile performance. Paul's entertaining commentary enhances these classics, creating a truly memorable show.
