Friday 30th August | 2024 | 9.30am - 12.30am
Hanwell Wine Estate
£65 per person
You will learn how to create a personal portrait of a loved one using simply an art pencil and a blank sheet of paper. Caroline is an accomplished portrait artist who spends much of her time working on portrait commissions. You will learn how to recreate an image of a loved one from a picture of your choice using this simple yet effective medium.
What is included? All materials will be provided for you and you'll be gifted your own pencil and rubber to take home and continue on your portrait journey. At the end of the workshop you will have created your own pencil portrait drawing to take home with you.
Who is this workshop for? Everyone, but perfect for absolute beginners or people with some drawing skill who want to improve or learn new techniques.
What do I need to bring? An image of the person you wish to draw. An ideal image is of the person's face with a closed mouth, which has been taken without a flash. Images with a single light source are best as these have good shadows. An image where the background isn't busy is the best. If you don't have a printer then you can send your image to us a few days in advance and we can print it for you.
