Free Autumn Fun Day Coming to Stapleford in October!

A free day of autumn fun will be on offer in Stapleford as Broxtowe Borough Council’s fun days take place for the final time this year.

Taking place across two locations, Stapleford Community Pavilion and Pasture Road Recreation Ground, the event will offer activities to suit children of all ages, abilities and interests, from arts and crafts to football skills and much more.

The full line-up includes:

10am to 4pm

  • Pinnacle Dance workshops
  • Arts and crafts by Thrive & Design
  • Football skills workshops with Stapleford Town Football Club and the Steven Gerrard Academy
  • Padel court sessions by Lleisure
  • Free face painting
  • Lego tower building
  • Minecraft world-building workshop
  • Pinxton Puppet Show
  • Magic shows and balloon modelling by Stuart Magic
  • Duckling’s Nursery under-5s activities
  • Noise Academy’s Mobile Music Lab, including drop-in DJ and music production workshops
  • Community stalls

Stapleford Skate Park – Pastures Road Recreation Ground, Stapleford, Nottingham, NG9 8GS

12pm to 4pm

  • Skateboarding coaching sessions for ages 7 and over by Skate Nottingham
  • An opportunity to help create a skateboarding-themed mosaic, which will then be installed at the skatepark

The café at the Pavilion, Insight Community Kitchen, will be open and will also be supplying food for children attending the event. Parents can collect a children’s meal voucher on arrival, entitling their child to a free hot dog and piece of fruit. Additional food and drink will also be available to purchase.

Residents are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport when travelling to the event. Those travelling by car are asked to be considerate of local residents when parking. The on-site car park will be reserved for drop-offs, pick-ups and Blue Badge holders only.

The event is supported by Stapleford Town Council and Lleisure, with sponsorship from GEDA Construction.
