Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is Stephen Sondheim at his darkest and most delicious. This razor‑sharp musical thriller follows Benjamin Barker, returning to London under the alias Sweeney Todd after years of wrongful imprisonment. Consumed by vengeance against the corrupt Judge Turpin, he sets up a barbershop above Mrs Lovett's struggling pie shop - and together they stumble into a grisly partnership that changes their fortunes in the most horrifying way.
This March, the award‑winning Nottingham Arts Youth Theatre bring the tale roaring to life with bold performances, atmospheric staging, and Sondheim's unforgettable score. Expect tension, humour, and a chilling story told with real craft and ambition from one of the city's most exciting young companies.
