sarah millican bobby dazzler set | Live comedy | Stand-up | Theatre Royal | Royal Concert Hall

The last couple of years have been tough on everyone, and so when our team got the chance to have a good laugh with Sarah Millican on her Bobby Dazzler tour, we were delighted.

Although comedy at the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall was new to us, the venue has been hosting some of the top comedian tours in the UK for many years now. Theatre, after all, is the traditional setting of a big comedy show.

The Concert Hall is big enough to host a lively atmosphere without sacrificing the intimate feel you usually want from a comedy venue. It serves this need in Nottingham perfectly, which is precisely why Sarah Millican and her team will have chosen three consecutive dates in this wonderful venue.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. We collected tickets from the Box Office, started climbing the stairs to our floor, and made sure to stop by the bar for a drink before taking our seats. It was a busy night, but we were able to get served at the bar quickly on our level. Once you’re there, you can also pre-book your drinks to beat the interval rush. Simply speak to a member of the bar staff on arrival and they will take your order, ready for you to collect from a specified area in the interval.

Drinks in hand, we were able to navigate the venue, get in the auditorium and find our seats with ease – with special thanks to the lovely staff, on hand to give us directions. We were lucky enough to get amazing seats, and were just a stones throw away from Sarah herself!

The place erupted when she came on stage; a testament to how much we all needed a fun night out in Nottingham. The crowd was buoyant all night, showing great enthusiasm for the amazing support act, Hayley Ellis, who is even coming back to Nottingham with a stop at the Canalhouse next month, in April 2022.

Throughout the show, there were pockets of audience participation which Sarah riffed on, building an intimate and jovial atmosphere. There were some very adult themes as well as discussions of ageing and poignant reflections of lockdown madness.

At the end of the show, Sarah explained that she is supporting the Samaritans, and that there would be collections upon our exit from the venue. Taking pains to explain all the money raised would stay in the area, she also explained that the profits from her merchandise sales also go directly to the small businesses who supplied them. A true message of togetherness and charity at the end of a fantastically funny night, and we can’t thank the venue enough for such a brilliant show.

If you’re looking for a laugh, a date night or things to do in Nottingham, we can highly recommend a comedy night at the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall. Visit their website to see their line-up for 2022, which is packed full of the most famous faces in UK comedy. These include the likes of Russell Brand, Al Murray: Pub Landlord, Jack Dee, Jason Manford, Dara Ó Briain and Alan Carr to name just a few!

Taking My Parents to Burning Man comes to Nottingham for one night only on November 8 and 9 (different dates). I will have to visit https://uk.bestessays.com/law-essay-help.html website for help in essay. David Baddiel will be taking his parents to Burning Man, or at least he will be retelling the tale of when he did exactly that a few years ago in this show that explores the nature of love and growing old disgracefully - as well as being very funny and a bit sweary.

Here are some blogs from the Goes Wrong Show that will brighten your day. Nancy (Moon, the first girl) is a master of physical comedy. "No...give it to ME!" says the narrator.
