1. The Hundred: Trent Rockets v Northern Superchargers

The Hundred's mix of world-class cricket and blockbuster entertainment returns to Trent Bridge once again this summer.
The Rockets’ opening home matchday sees them face Northern Superchargers on Sunday 10 August and it promises to be an explosive start to a thrilling month of double headliners

2. Gloworm Festival at Thoresby Park

Returning for it's 9th year, Gloworm festival makes its home once again at Thoresby Park.
Celebrating and dedicating children aged 0-13, while ensuring there's plenty for teenagers and adults to enjoy. The festival is maintaining it's ethos revolving around the belief that children are the most important people in the world, and this is reflected in the diverse range of activities and entertainment on offer.
Some highlights include a festival range of main stage headliners, interactive zones and a large range of activites.
3. CommuniTree Festival

4. Agitating the Lawless Rabble - Free Guided History Walk
Saturday 9 August | Starts at the Left Lion | Starts: 2pm | Free Event
In this guided walk around Nottingham City Centre, deep dive and and get whisk away with exmploring some episodes related to Nottingham's proud tradition of independent bookshops and radical publishing.
Utilising primary sources, you will listen to the echoes of incredible people's voices and remember some of their courageous struggles such as Susannah Wright defending her bookshop against riled up bigots in the 1820s.
This is a free event and there's no need to book - come on down and get enveloped into some of Nottinghams fascinating history.
5. An Evening of Classic Pink Floyd
Saturday 9th August | Nottingham Arts Theatre | 7.30pm | Tickets: £18 to £24
Pink Floydian is an 8-piece tribute band renowned for its meticulous recreation of Pink Floyd's legendary live performances.
More than just a concert, a Pink Floydian performance is an experience - an emotional journey that captures the atmosphere and essence of Pink Floyd's music.
