1. Beat the Streets

The annual charity music festival Beat the Streets returns to Nottingham for a legendary day of live music and fundraising. On Sunday 25 January a brilliant line up of talented artists will be bringing a variety of genres to the stage as they perform at some of the best venues in the city, including Rock City, Rescue Rooms and The Bodega. Each year, the festival aims to bring the community together to battle homelessness and raise vital funds for Framework, with all proceeds, including donations, bar, tickets and merch, going directly to homeless charities. From indie-pop, to ambient-rock, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. What’s better than a day spent celebrating Nottinghamshire’s incredible music scene and supporting charity while you’re at it?

2. Andy Warhol: Pop Icon

The iconic art of the internationally acclaimed American pop artist Andy Warhol is coming to Nottingham’s Lakeside Arts. Kown as a leading figure in the Pop Art movement, his work includes collaborations with artists, friends, filmmakers and celebrities, with images of Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, Warhol himself, and icons of American consumerism on display. The exhibition also includes rarely seen early drawings and illustrations from the 1950s; paintings from the 1980s never exhibited in his lifetime; and lesser-known 'stitched photographs', showcased in his last exhibition before his death. A must see for the art-lovers among us and those fascinated by his work.

5. The Wizard of Nottz! (A Drag Parody)
