Papplewick

About

Papplewick is a very beautiful village to the north of Nottinghamshire, just outside of Hucknall. Quietly nestled away from the major roads that run through Nottinghamshire, the village has a rather quaint charm with the odd village pub thrown in for good measure.

On the outskirts of the village is Papplewick Hall which dates back to the 18th century whilst it's St James's Church has links to Robin Hood as legend has it that Robin Hood would cut his bows from the Yew Trees in the church yard. The nearby cave dug from a standstone cliff has also been named Robin Hood's stables.
