Join the team for an enchanting Christmas at Newstead this festive period, including:​​​

Storybook Christmas

Delight in the much-loved childhood story; The Nutcracker, the festive theme for 2021, by booking an enchanting tour of the historic house, seeing rooms stunningly dressed for Christmas.  Pre-booking is recommended

There are two options at booking...

Christmas at Newstead includes:

  • Self-led walk around the Festive Scenes for The Nutcracker that run through the House (untimed)
    Car parking
    Access to the medieval cloisters for the craft stalls

The Festive House Tour is the same price (although is limited to one hour) - and includes:

  • A tour of the house, including the Festive Scenes (approx. 1 hour)
    Car parking
    Access to the medieval cloisters for craft stalls

Craft stalls (Weekends only)

Visit between 11am – 4pm (last entry 3pm)

The craft stalls are currently located in the cloisters and are accessed as part of the Storybook Christmas house tour, or via the retail shop, if you're just visiting the gardens*.

Note: a queuing system may be required depending on numbers. 

*Site entry & parking charges apply and COVID-19 safety measures are in place.

Afternoon Tea

Indulge in a Festive Afternoon Tea to enjoy either after touring the house as part of  the Storybook Christmas, or just because, and enjoy a selection of sandwiches, savouries and a range of delightfully festive cakes and desserts.

Christmas Dinner

Why not go all in and book a sumptious Christmas dinner for you and the family, which includes a choice of Beef, Turkey, Pork or Vegetarian, with all the trimmings and festive dessert!
