Become a palaeontologist and learn all about Ice Age animals!
Discover how palaeonotolgists learn about Ice Age animals just from examining their bones. The activity session begins with a show and tell about some of the animal bones from the collection, including teeth from a mammoth and a smilodon - just how big and how sharpe were their teeth and what does that telll us about what they ate and how they lived? Once you know a little bit more about Ice Age animals and their bones, you will have a chance to re-build a real animal skeleton and use your knowledge to work out what animal you are building.
Aimed at ages 5 plus (not suitable for under 5s).
