Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, the UK’s largest not-for-profit events company, is delighted to announce that entries are now open for the return of one of the region’s most highly anticipated and popular charity road running events, the Nottingham 10K.

Returning to Nottingham’s sporting calendar on Sunday 10 March, thousands of inspiring and seasonal runners alike are expected to get in on the action while taking on a new and exciting route for 2024. Traditionally centring around the University of Nottingham, runners can now look forward to a brand new 10K route in the city centre. Further details about the route will be announced soon.

Boasting huge popularity across the region, the Nottingham 10K is once again hoped to generate a tremendous boost for a number of deserving local and national charities. With community and charity at its core, participants are encouraged to take part and raise money for their own personal reasons, or to support one of the event’s partner charities; Notts County Foundation, Trent Bridge Community Trust and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.

Explore Newstead Abbey after dark on a ghost walk inside the Historic House. Starting with a glass of wine to steady your nerves, discover Newstead’s troubled past.

Hear tales of its supernatural inhabitants and shiver at a history involving murder, black magic and cursed families. Join them if you dare!

Founded as a monastic house in the late 12th century, Newstead Abbey has previously been home to the poet Lord Byron between 1808 - 1814.

We recommend stopping by the Fox and Hounds for a bite to eat or a drink while you’re in the area. It is open until 11pm on Saturday, meaning you can pop in before or after your ghost hunt for a debrief.

4. Castle Rock Brewery's International Women's Day Beer Launch Event

Friday 8th March | The Old Cold Store, Nottingham | Doors open at 7:30pm | Pay what you feel

Join Castle Rock Brewery this International Women's Day for the launch of their International Women's Day Beer, Order + Disorder, brewed in collaboration with No Half Measures! Head down to the Old Cold Store and be one of the first to try the beer.

Two volumes of this beer were brewed, one on the main brewery kit and one on the smaller one, the Pilot Project. Order + Disorder Volume 1 was Brewed with Nelson Sauvin hops on their main brewery kit with help from local Nottingham women and No Half Measures. Order + Disorder Volume 2 was brewed with Harlequin hops on the Pilot Project.

Please note, this gig is Pay What You Feel, with all proceeds going directly to Nottingham Women's Centre. Donations of £5+ give you the chance to win a limited-edition Order + Disorder screenprint!

The University of Nottingham Medics Society Presents... 9 to 5 the Musical!

Set in the 1970s, this musical tells the story of three female co-workers pushed to boiling point – who come up with a plan to become even with their unlikeable boss. When the tables turn, Violet, Judy and Doralee end up getting rid of their boss! They makeover the workplace and take the lead of the company that had been getting them down.

This is a fantastic show, perfect for any musical lover. Why not make an evening of it by enjoying a bite to eat or drink around Hockley and the Lace Market before the show?
