Hoping to uncover hidden talents as wine connoisseurs, Visit Nottinghamshire headed over to the family-run Hanwell Wine Estate to try out their intriguing Vineyard Experience.  

The weather has been very kind to us recently, so we were excited to venture into the heart of the University of Nottingham’s Park Campus, where Bramleys Brasserie in the De Vere Orchard Hotel is nestled. It was the perfect day for a picnic-themed afternoon tea; the sun was shining, it was a Friday afternoon and perhaps most importantly, we were feeling quite peckish!

We were delighted to attend the launch of the 35^th annual Robin Hood Festival today at the world-famous Sherwood Forest. It’s the first Robin Hood Festival taking place at the forest since the RSPB started managing this historic site, so we were excited to see what this year’s celebrations had to offer.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll be aware that Nottingham is home to the world’s only large-scale, free-roam, multi-player virtual reality gaming arena. When Visit Nottinghamshire received an invitation to try it out for ourselves, we practically ripped their hand off.

If ever there were a quintessentially Nottinghamshire-esque activity, Go Ape at Sherwood Pines has got to be it. Gallivanting through the trees at Sherwood Forest like a certain outlaw hero you may have heard of? You can’t get much more Nottinghamshire than this.
