After Pugs and Dachshunds, it was about time for the French Bulldogs to show Nottingham’s Café Sobar how it’s done. Being the animal lovers that we are here at Visit Nottinghamshire, we wouldn’t let this event go by quietly. So off we popped to the pop-up Frenchie Café on a sunny Sunday morning, and let’s be honest, being surrounded by adorable Frenchies is always a good way to spend a day out the office!

Ahead of the Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival opening on Wednesday (17 October), we grabbed five minutes with the festival organiser, Steve for some quick fire questions – he’s a busy man!

December is nearing, which can only mean one thing – Elf: A Christmas Spectacular is coming our way! From Friday 28 December until Sunday 30 December you can see the hit West End and Broadway musical, in all its glory at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. We got the chance to speak to the stars of the show and give them a special ‘Nottingham’ present – a rubber ducky.

This August my family and I were lucky enough to be invited for a day down on the farm by Manor Farm Park & Woodlands.

We arrived just as the farm park opened and were greeted by Sue and the team. We were given a map of the park, which was much bigger than I expected, 25 acres in fact, and a schedule of activities for the kids to enjoy throughout the day. Eager children, including my own toddler, Ella, were super excited and raring to get in, especially as they could all see the playground which was looming temptingly in sight.

The Framework Knitters Museum in Ruddington, Nottingham, has received initial National Lottery support for an exciting new project called ‘A Right Good Yarn,’ it was announced today.

Made possible by National Lottery players, the project aims to expand the museum into an adjacent property, purchased in 2013, and redevelop the existing space. The monies will also allow vital conservation and renovation works to take place.

Development funding of £114,300 has been awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to help the Framework Knitters Museum progress their plans to apply for a full National Lottery grant at a later date.

Between work and everyday stresses, I rarely give myself time to indulge in a beauty treat. When I do, it usually consists of the occasional 15-minute face mask on a Sunday night. Admittingly, I’m a total spa novice but my Mum has me beat having never indulged before in a Spa day.
