1. Goose Fair
Friday 26 September – Sunday 5 October 2025 I Forest Recreation Ground I FREE entry
Enjoy all the fun of the fair at the Forest Recreation Ground this autumn, as Goose Fair is back! Goosey the Goose Fair goose has taken up its perch on the Mansfield Road roundabout once again, heralding the return of one of the largest travelling funfairs in Europe later this month. With more than 350 rides and attractions and thrills aplenty for all ages.
2. Robin Hood Half Marathon
Sunday 28 September | Various Locations across Nottingham City Centre | 10am - 6pm | FREE Event
Come to cheer on the 11k+ runners expected to take on the challenge in this year’s Robin Hood Half Marathon, staged annually since 1981. Events this year also include the Robin Hood Mini Marathon and the Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge.
3. Ghosts of the Gaol
Saturday 27 September 2025 (then running on selected dates until 18 October) I National Justice Museum | 6pm onwards I Tickets: £14 full price and £13 concessions

4. A Tour of Sherwood Forest with the Sheriff of Nottingham

5. Steaming Sunday at Nottingham Industrial Museum
Sunday 28 September 2025 I 11am - 3:30pm I Nottingham Industrial Museum
Tickets: Adults £6 / Concessions £4 / and Under 16's FREE
On the last Sunday of each month the Nottingham Industrial Museum's hardy crew of volunteers stoke the engines and bring their magnificent working exhibits to life. See the awe-inspiring Basford Beam Engine take its majestic strokes as it recalls the days when Nottingham relied on it for the city’s water. Watch the Fowler ploughing engine generate steam and chat to the fascinating team.
