Stocking filler ideas and inspiration

They say good things come in small packages, and when it comes to stocking stuffers you’ll find that Nottinghamshire’s businesses are absolutely bursting with bright ideas. We’ve picked out some of our favourite pint-sized presents which are sure to delight the whole family on Christmas day.

Nibbles & Drinks

If you know someone with a sweet tooth, why not give them the gift of delicious doughnuts this Christmas? We don’t recommend trying to squeeze one into a stocking, but Nottingham’s famous Doughnotts are offering gift vouchers so your loved ones can satisfy their cravings and pick their favourite doughnut flavours. No stocking is complete without some chocolate, but if you want something a little more adventurous than the same old boring and bland chocolate Santa, check out the lovely Luisa's Vegan Chocolates. For the food-lover in your life, a voucher for the Pudding Pantry is sure to go down a treat. And if you’re lucky, you might be invited along too – it’s a win win!

Nottingham’s Weavers Wine have a vast range of wines and spirits to suit all budgets, including their famous Castle Gate Gin. Their bottles of spirits or liqueur make ideal stocking fillers – why not try smooth Espresso, fruity Banana or silky sweet Salted Caramel Vodka?

You can also get a bottle of gin from Redsmith Distillery including their famous Redsmith London Dry Gin and Redsmith Dry Apple Gin distilled with Bramley apple. You can find their products in local shops and an their online shop.

Based at Welbeck, and recently launching their first Drop in May 2023, DropWorks are producing Rum at a quality and scale that has never been seen before on these shores. A good book is an ideal stocking filler, and it gives them something to pass the time if they wake up too early on Christmas morning! Check out Bookwise Nottingham’s Facebook page for regular book ideas – with different titles each week - that you can reserve for collection later. Or why not pop into one of their shops in Newark or Southwell.
