Hoping to uncover hidden talents as wine connoisseurs, Visit Nottinghamshire headed over to the family-run Hanwell Wine Estate to try out their intriguing Vineyard Experience.  

The weather has been very kind to us recently, so we were excited to venture into the heart of the University of Nottingham’s Park Campus, where Bramleys Brasserie in the De Vere Orchard Hotel is nestled. It was the perfect day for a picnic-themed afternoon tea; the sun was shining, it was a Friday afternoon and perhaps most importantly, we were feeling quite peckish!

Let's face it, school holidays are exhausting. You need just the right mix of activities on a daily basis, not just to keep the little darlings happy but more importantly to tire them out! Yes, be honest, if you've been up since the crack of dawn all we as parents want to do is ensure sleepiness takes hold and prompts an early bedtime.

We were delighted to attend the launch of the 35^th annual Robin Hood Festival today at the world-famous Sherwood Forest. It’s the first Robin Hood Festival taking place at the forest since the RSPB started managing this historic site, so we were excited to see what this year’s celebrations had to offer.

Family time at a weekend is something we all look forward to after a long week at work and school, it’s a great chance to catch up with everyone’s news. We tend to gravitate towards dining at family friendly offerings in the city centre but more often than not descend into chaos as my tribe try to decide on just what they want to eat, everyone’s different after all.
