It’s National Curry Week, From 6th–12th October 2025, and we’re talking about the delicious dish all Brits just can’t seem to get enough of! Whether you’re a fan of a rich, creamy korma, a fiery vindaloo, or something fresh and fragrant from further east, Nottingham’s curry scene is hotter than ever.
In light of this special week, and curry being a true national treasure, we’re presenting a selection of our favourite curry dishes and where to find them. Get ready for a list of fabulous curry restaurants in Nottingham that promise to spice up your life!
For a burst of Bangkok energy right in the city centre, Zaap Thai is unbeatable. Their Thai Green Curry (choose from chicken, pork, beef, prawns or tofu) is one of their most loved dishes, a glorious mix of crunchy vegetables, tender meat or tofu, and that unmistakable creamy coconut sauce with hints of chilli, lemongrass and ginger. And it’s not just about the food, dining at Zaap is a full sensory experience. If you’re in the mood for something sophisticated, Anoki delivers Indian fine dining at its best. Step into opulent surroundings greeted with warm hospitality, perfect for an intimate date night or a grand celebration. Try the Achari Aubergines: tender aubergine simmered in a rich tomato-based sauce, perfectly spiced and bursting with flavour.
On Maid Marian Way, you’ll find Nottingham’s unofficial Curry Mile, and two of the cities extraordinary curry houses. The Cumin and MemSaab.
Memsaab brings refined Indian cuisine with flair and has been awarded two AA Rosettes for their culinary excellence. Here you will find A la Carte fine dining -combining traditional, modern and Northern Indian regional dishes in opulent surroundings. Their Saag Paneer is legendary, silky spinach, soft paneer and perfectly balanced seasoning make it one of the city’s best veggie dishes.
At The Cumin, family-run warmth meets authentic North Indian flavour, a favourite with travelling cricketers and football pundits alike. The Methi Murg (chicken simmered in fenugreek and traditional Punjabi spices) is an absolute must-try, comforting, aromatic and full of soul.
Just outside of the city Masala Junction blends family tradition with modern presentation. Their menu celebrates authentic Indian flavours while introducing creative twists. Don’t miss the Railway Lamb Curry, slow-cooked with warming spices and served in a rich sauce that’s pure comfort. Their elegant yet relaxed setting makes it ideal for both date nights and family dinners.
For something a little different but still full of spice and warmth, PHO set in the middle of vibrant Hockley, brings Vietnamese flair to the curry conversation. Their Cà-ri, a fragrant coconut curry with chicken, tofu or prawns, is a beautiful fusion of fresh herbs, gentle spice, and creamy indulgence. Pair it with a steaming bowl of jasmine rice or noodles and a side of crispy spring rolls, and you’ve got yourself a perfect autumn feast.
