An enclosed limestone gorge on the edge of north Nottinghamshire, Creswell Crags is a natural beauty that’s not to be missed! The Visit Nottinghamshire marketing team was lucky enough to be invited along to the Crags recently to experience the popular Rock Art tour.

While Nottingham is home to many country estates and major historical attractions such as Sherwood Forest, Newstead Abbey and Wollaton Hall, be sure not to miss the many smaller museums dotted around the county! Next time you're visiting outside of the city, why not pay a visit to support these treasured local attractions and learn some fascinating history as you go!

I was delighted when I discovered a night out for Nottingham Craft Beer week which could have been made for me, combining two of the things which make me most happy – A Chocolate & Beer tasting evening at the historic Cock & Hoop Pub at Nottingham's Lace Market Hotel.

We joined The Woolly Tellers for their show ‘Definitely Not Respectable’, an evening of songs and spoken word retelling the history of Victorian Nottingham and the old Malt Cross music hall, which still stands today on the city’s infamous St James’ Street.

Forest Live is a three-day, outdoor festival based in the woodland heart of the county – Sherwood Pines, showcasing some of the best singers and performers out there.

With the weather being very kind to us this year, the festival was a perfect choice for a day out with friends and family. We were thrilled to be a part of it and see Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott as well as UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey.

What better way to spend one of our sunny days during this summer’s heatwave than at Robin Hood's Wheelgate Park in north Nottinghamshire. Like little keen beans, my children and I headed over to be there for the doors opening at 10am to make the most of the day.
