Tucked away at the end of an unassuming alleyway, Visit Nottinghamshire have long considered the Hockley Arts Club to be something of a hidden gem – treasured by savvy, in-the-know locals and overlooked by everyone else, the sort of place a friend might smugly introduce you to - but in truth it’s one of Nottingham’s worst-kept secrets these days.

I first visited Eden Hall Day Spa in the north of Nottinghamshire around five years ago with my mum and totally fell in love the place. I’ve since been back several times, most recently with my mum and sister, and always have the best experience there – the warmest welcome awaits you at reception when checking in, the changing room and spa faculties are second to none and the food is to die for! It's the perfect place to visit with mum on Mother's Day.
