We recently had the opportunity to visit The National Holocaust Centre and Museum in Newark, and it was a truly moving and educational experience. It’s a vibrant memorial, a place of testimony and a Centre of learning for communities of all faiths, and none, across the UK.

From Thursday 19^th through to Sunday 22^nd January 2023, the Poppy and Pint in Lady Bay is celebrating all things “gluten free” with their GF Extravaganza Weekend.

Lakeside Arts is all dressed up for a magical mermaid adventure this Christmas. Wander through the café to smells of mince pies, spot the glistening mermaid tail and roll up to the circus.

On the weekend of 11^th and 12^th February 2023 it will be 40 years since Avro Vulcan XM594 landed at Winthorpe Showground to go on display at the Newark Air Museum. It is also the 60^th anniversary of its entry into RAF service.

Festival of Food and Drink, the East Midlands’ largest celebration of local food producers and global flavours, has confirmed it will be moving to a brand-new location for its tenth year, taking place from Saturday 16^th – Sunday 17th September 2023.

Christmas is back again with all the magic and excitement we’ve come to expect here in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire! After a sensational debut in 2020 and a strong showing building on that in 2021, Christmas at Wollaton is back for 2022 with some new exciting light displays and I was excited to go and check it out.
