As a busy team, eating lunch at our desks has become a regularity – so we were very excited to be invited to enjoy Bric's Bottomless Brunch and be members of the ‘ladies who lunch’ club for the afternoon. 

If there's one thing Nottinghamshire lacks, it's the seaside; this decidedly land-locked county is just about as far away from the coast as you can get, which probably explains why Robin Hood is rarely depicted making sandcastles on the beach. Our region has a million and one things to offer, but let’s be honest: a seaside resort we are not.

Here at Visit Notts HQ, we're practically doing cartwheels with excitement about seeing the spectacular Gandeys Circus - The Greatest Show Tour in Nottingham this autumn. We quizzed the ringmaster Ryan Brown on his career to date, pre-show rituals and what to expect from this year’s production… oh, and his favourite sandwich!

Most of us have heard the news by now that a whopping seven Nottinghamshire attractions made travel guide publisher Lonely Planet’s top 500 travel experiences in the UK. We’re feeling pretty smug about being recognised by such a large-scale, well-trusted publisher, and the broad range of attractions identified (from museums and nature reserves to heritage sites and pubs) is testament to the wonderful variety of what’s on offer here. 

The beautiful city of Nottingham is often associated with angry sheriffs and outlaws. These cliches, however, have not been able to diminish its popularity and charm. The spirited city is always buzzing, primarily attributed to the presence of energetic students who have played a pivotal role in transforming Nottingham's music and club scene. 

Hoping to uncover hidden talents as wine connoisseurs, Visit Nottinghamshire headed over to the family-run Hanwell Wine Estate to try out their intriguing Vineyard Experience.
