The Engine Yard is one of our favourite places to go for a bit of fresh air, so when Visit Nottinghamshire started hearing stories about the latest addition to the village – the intriguingly named Balloon Bar – we couldn’t resist dropping by to find out whether the hype was deserved or whether it was all just a load of hot air.

The weather has been very kind to us recently, so we were excited to venture into the heart of the University of Nottingham’s Park Campus, where Bramleys Brasserie in the De Vere Orchard Hotel is nestled. It was the perfect day for a picnic-themed afternoon tea; the sun was shining, it was a Friday afternoon and perhaps most importantly, we were feeling quite peckish!
