The beautiful city of Nottingham is often associated with angry sheriffs and outlaws. These cliches, however, have not been able to diminish its popularity and charm. The spirited city is always buzzing, primarily attributed to the presence of energetic students who have played a pivotal role in transforming Nottingham's music and club scene. 

It's #WorldHeritageDay, which gives us an excellent excuse to celebrate some of the wonderful history and heritage that you can explore right across Nottinghamshire.

March 21 is the International Day of Forests, and Nottinghamshire is lucky enough to have one of the most stunning forests in the UK. Explore the ancient oaks and wild heathland of Sherwood Forest and you'll encounter some wonderfully atmospheric scenery. Last year, we spoke to local photographer Chris Dale, who has wandered these woodlands throughout the seasons, veering off the beaten track to capture the beauty of this spectacular area with his lens.

Between work and everyday stresses, I rarely give myself time to indulge in a beauty treat. When I do, it usually consists of the occasional 15-minute face mask on a Sunday night. Admittingly, I’m a total spa novice but my Mum has me beat having never indulged before in a Spa day.

A welcome addition to the Go Ape family which already includes two different tree top adventures and a forest Segway experience. I was lucky enough to take my ‘tribe’ to try out this exciting activity earlier this month...

Forest Live is a three-day, outdoor festival based in the woodland heart of the county – Sherwood Pines, showcasing some of the best singers and performers out there.

With the weather being very kind to us this year, the festival was a perfect choice for a day out with friends and family. We were thrilled to be a part of it and see Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott as well as UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey.
